Tomorrow is Meet the Surgeon Day!

Oh my goodness I just cannot stand it! I am beside myself. Tomorrow I meet my surgeon, Dr. Erik Wilson, at 2:30 pm. Tomorrow I will know my surgery date. But first I have to make it through the rest of the work day, driving to go vote in my old neighborhood, then driving out to pick up my kids from Meme and Papa’s house, a WHOLE night, and then most of tomorrow at work…. holy heck! I just want it to be right now. My hernia has been acting up a lot today, with heartburn so bad I am surprised I still have an esophagus. I am sure it is nerves and cannot seem to settle myself. I am half convinced they are going to give me a written and/or verbal test to make sure I have done my homework, and I will fail. I have been reading up on the procedure, following really inspiring bloggers, and trying to be sure I understand what to realistically expect in the coming months. At the same time, I am still so anxious and nervous that something will happen to derail it all. I will pray that God will take my worries off my shoulders and allow me to relax and enjoy this quiet time.
